MANDAN, N.D.  (uj.edu)— The University of Jamestown hockey team officially set a program high in wins Saturday with their 24th of the season, skating to a 6-2 win against the University of Mary Marauders after falling 2-1 on Friday night in Jamestown. The record-setting win was led by Allan Pruss (SR/Red Deer, Alberta)’ first collegiate hat trick.

The Jimmies were undeterred when the Marauders struck 2:33 into the first frame.

Allan Pruss responded on a short-handed rush and an assist from Jason Richter (SR/Cranbrook, British Columbia) to even the scoring. UJ pulled ahead in the first period after Cole McKechney (SR/Calgary, Alberta) found the net with an assist by Carter Johnson (SO/Meeteetse, Wyo.).

Cayle Bell (SR/Fort St. John, British Columbia) had the lone second period goal after he picked a corner on the goaltender at 15:47 of the second period.

Allan Pruss scored his second of the night 2:56 into the third period on a breakaway with assists to Tyler-Chavez Leech and Vladislav Zamzhytski (JR/Minsk, Belarus). Jeremy McNeil (SR/Calgary, Alberta) added to the scoring with a power play tally set up by Trevor Okino (SR/Richmond, British Columbia) and Cameron Todd (SR/Burraneer, Australia) to make the score 5-2. Allan Pruss capped off the game with his third goal late in the period to make the final score 6-2 in favour of the Jimmies.
