Mayville St student athlete dies

Mayville (CSi) Barnesville, Minnesota native and current Mayville State University freshman tight end Matthew Holland died Saturday morning from seizures.

That, according to Barnesville athletic director and football coach Bryan Strand.

Holland played baseball, basketball and football for Barnesville High School before following in the footsteps of his older brother James and signing a national letter of intent to play football for Mayville State in February.

Former classmates and friends took to social media Saturday to honor Holland.
