Traffic stop leads to charges

Valley City (CSi) Valley City Police report, a 28 year-old man is being charged in connection with a traffic stop, about 4-p.m., on May 22, 2015.

During the stop an officer saw a bulge around the front of the man’s waistband that the believed might be a weapon, and a pat-down revealed a firearm.

Police Chief Fred Thompson said the driver, 28 year-old Cody Williams is being charged with possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, and a Loaded Firearm in a Vehicle.

The serial number had been removed on the weapon.

Additional charges may be pending against Williams..
