Barnes County Sheriff PatchValley City (CSi) The North Dakota Highway Patrol reports that at approximately 6:21 pm Wednesday, an NDHP trooper responded to a report of a reckless driver traveling westbound on I-94 from MM 338. Several additional callers reported the vehicle continuing to travel westbound on I-94 prior to NDHP contact with the vehicle.

At approximately 6:55 pm, an NDHP trooper located the suspect vehicle, a 2001 Mercury Grand Marquis, and attempted a traffic stop near MM 300 on I-94 westbound. The driver failed to stop and a pursuit was initiated westbound on I-94. At exit 292, the suspect vehicle exited I-94 and stopped on the off-ramp. The suspect, 42 year old Jason David Anderson, of Valley City, was taken into custody and arrested for Felony Driving Under the Influence and Resisting Arrest and Misdemeanor Fleeing Law Enforcement.

Anderson was transported to the North Dakota State Hospital after the incident and placed in the care of staff at the State Hospital.
