Teachers, school board, ratify contract

Valley City (CSi) The Valley City Education Association and the Valley City School District ratified a one year contract agreement, at the school board’s Annual meeting.

The agreement includes increasing the base for incoming teachers by $1,500. That moves the starting salary to $37,206. Health insurance remains the same under the agreement, teachers lost two personal leave days.

Also at the annual meeting, Rick Ross was honored for his term on the school board and Rich Schuenman was sworn in as a new school board member.
