Valley City (CSi) – At 11:30 am, the Valley City Commission notified media of a a second SPECIAL MEETING to be held today, Thurs Feb 11, at 4pm.
Items to be considered:
N1) Approve an attorney to advise city and provide opinion specific to the permissibility of the grievances and how the employee manual and code of conduct apply to the process going forward.
N2) Consider retaining an attorney for the limited purpose of investigating the grievances filed against Mayor Werkhoven and advising the City Commission during the Grievance procedures.

Valley City (CSi) Word has it that the Valley City Commission has scheduled a Special Meeting Thursday February 11, 2016, at 7-.a.m., at City Hall.
The purpose of the meeting, we hear, is to consider retaining an attorney for the limited purpose of investigating the grievances filed against Mayor Bob Werkhoven by four city officials.
CSi TV contacted City Hall Weds afternoon, after residents inquired if the Special meeting would air on CSi 68. CSi TV was told no by City Hall, the meeting could not be televised. No further information was provided.
CSi TV is normally given notice of all regular and special meetings, which had not occurred in this case. CSi TV requested Weds afternoon a copy of the required notice of Special Meeting.
