Washington (CSi) North Dakota Senators John Hoeven and Heid Heitkamp have announced that the North Dakota Housing and Urban Development has awarded 15 grants totaling $2.1 million to several housing authorities in the state.

The Barnes County Housing Authority will receive $53,893.

The funds were made available through HUD’s Capital Fund program and supports management improvements and modernization of public housing.

Others receiving funding included:

· Burleigh County Housing Authority: $408,305

· Minot Housing Authority: $331,569

· Housing Authority of Cass County: $167,673

· Housing Authority of the City of Williston: $129,094

· Ramsey County Housing Authority: $83,190

· Rolette County Housing Authority: $69,344

· Mercer County Housing Authority: $40,234

· Traill County Housing Authority: $33,410

· Nelson County Housing Authority: $32,039

· Towner County Housing Authority: $23,977

· Benson County Housing Authority: $18,545

· Emmons County Housing Authority: $17,989

· McIntosh County Housing Authority: $8,446
