Little Britches Derby scheduled for June 4

The annual Dakota Anglers Little Britches Tournament will be held Saturday, June 4.

Registration will be held from 8-10 a.m. at Joos Park. Teams may fish any one legal North Dakota water, but must be back for the weigh-in at Joos Park at 2 p.m.

The tournament is free and open to the public. Teams consist of a child and and an adult. The tournament is held in conjunction with North Dakota Game and Fish Department’s Free Fishing Weekend.

Also, Dakota Anglers will be registering youth from ages 8-13 interested in attending the Devils Lake Fish Camp Aug. 7-12. The Anglers will be sending four kids to the $300 camp free with a draw being held.

Hot dogs, chips and pop will be served after the derby. A casting contest for each age group will be held along with drawings for prizes.

Jamestown (CSi)  Dakota Anglers 40th Annual Walleye/Northern Tournament is scheduled for May 21-22,2016 at the Jamestown Reservoir.

DakotaAnglersThe tournament is open to the first 76 two-partner teams to enter. Tournament pays the first 20 places. First place is $2,000. Total payback based on 76 teams is $9,190.

Entry fee is $160 and includes conservation fee. Openings remain for the tournament. Dakota Angler $20 membership is required—family or single membership age 18 and over.

First place Saturday pays $200, most improved team from Saturday to Sunday pays $200. Most walleye pounds for both days pays $400 for first and $200 for second.

There will be largest specie prizes on Saturday and Sunday. Largest walleye and northern pay $100 each day. There are also prizes for largest perch, crappie and smallmouth bass.
