(AP) \u2013 The North Dakota attorney general says the school board in Kensal violated open meetings laws by failing to give notice and take minutes for two committee meetings.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The board had created one committee to explore the possibility of a merger with neighboring Midkota and another group to gather financial information on such a merger.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Attorney General Wayne Stenehjem says the board did not file notice or record minutes for either meeting because it was not familiar with state law.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Stenehjem ordered committee members to create meeting minutes detailing their recollection of discussions with other committee members.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>FARGO, N.D.
