Jamestown (CSi) The North Dakota Aeronautics Commission has approved the airport’s grant application to cover part of the cost of acquiring, transporting and installing a Jetway passenger-boarding bridge. That according to Jamestown Regional Airport Authority Chairman, Jim Boyd.<\/p>\n

\"PassengerBridgeMinotInterior\"<\/a>The Airport Authority agreed to pay $32,000 for two passenger-boarding bridges from Minot International Airport in May. The total cost for the project is $126,000, which will cover the disassembling and transportation of the bridge and installing the bridge and connecting it to the airport terminal.<\/p>\n

Boyd says the airport will receive about $88,000 for the passenger-boarding bridge.<\/p>\n

Boyd was also informed by North Dakota Aeronautics Commission director, Kyle Wanner, that the commission had also approved the Airport Authority’s grant request to fund 90 percent of a project to expand the Jamestown Regional Airport’s terminal building. An interior wall of the terminal building will be moved out and the secure-seating area will be expanded from 39 to 50 seats.<\/p>\n

Jamestown Regional Airport manager, Sam Seafeldt says the terminal expansion project has a cost of $16,000, with the Airport Authority to pay about $1,600 for the local match.<\/p>\n

Between the two projects Jamestown Regional Airport is receiving about $100,000 from the state.<\/p>\n
