{"id":103843,"date":"2016-07-08T07:20:50","date_gmt":"2016-07-08T12:20:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=103843"},"modified":"2016-07-08T09:49:54","modified_gmt":"2016-07-08T14:49:54","slug":"man-facing-charges-assault-police-officer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=103843","title":{"rendered":"Man facing charges, assault police officer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A followup to another story&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Jamestown (CSi) On Tuesday afternoon, Jamestown Police reported that an officer was assaulted by a male following a traffic stop, under suspicion of driving with a suspended license, on First Avenue South.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/AndersonEric150.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-103866\" src=\"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/AndersonEric150.png\" alt=\"AndersonEric150\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a>It was observed that he had a cracked windshield and no seat belt.<\/p>\n<p>The man identified as <strong>Eric Anderso<\/strong>n of Jamestown reportedly was not injured, and arrested, the officer received minor injuries.<\/p>\n<p>After the stop an argument between Anderson and the officer, led to a struggle with the suspect punching and scratching the officer in the face.<\/p>\n<p>The officer gained control over Anderson before backup assistance arrived.<\/p>\n<p>He faces several charges which include Assault of a Peace Officer, a Class C felony and Driving Under Suspension<\/p>\n<p>Anderson is being held in the Stutsman County Jail.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A followup to another story&#8230; Jamestown (CSi) On Tuesday afternoon, Jamestown Police reported that an officer was assaulted by a male following a traffic stop, under suspicion of driving with a suspended license, on First Avenue South.
