(AP) &#8211; Republican Gov. Jack Dalrymple has signaled that $100 million may be taken from Bank of North Dakota profits to help address shortfalls to the state treasury.<\/p>\n<p>Dalrymple has called a special session of the North Dakota Legislature to address a $310 million budget shortfall due to low oil and farm commodity prices.<\/p>\n<p>Dalrymple and Republican legislative leaders have not given specifics on how to solve the budget problem when the Legislature returns next week for a three-day special session.<\/p>\n<p>But the governor on Tuesday hinted that about a third of the shortfall may come from the state-owned bank. He didn&#8217;t elaborate during the meeting at the state Industrial Commission, which he chairs.<\/p>\n<p>Bank president Eric Hardmeyer told the governor that the bank is &#8220;extremely strong, capital-wise.&#8221;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u00a0BISMARCK, N.D.
