The two-pack sizes contain 4.6 fl.oz. cones, with cones marked for easy individual sale, and were distributed nationally.<\/p>\n<p>No other Nestle ice cream products are affected by this recall.<\/p>\n<p>The company said it received positive test results for Listeria monocytogenes (LM) from equipment contact surfaces from a location on the production line where these products are made in Bakersfield, California. There have been no positive test results for LM present in the Drumstick cones themselves and no illnesses reported.<\/p>\n<p>Listeria &#8220;can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people and others with weakened immune systems,&#8221; according to the FDA. Listeria symptoms include fever, headaches, nausea, diarrhea and abdominal pain, and can cause miscarriages and stillbirths in pregnant women.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The affected Drumstick packages carry UPC codes of 72554-11096 with a &#8220;best before&#8221; date between June 2 &#8211; June 15, 2017, for the 16-count variety pack and 72554-00160 with a &#8220;best before&#8221; date between June 16 &#8211; June 19, 2017, for the 24-pack.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Customers who purchased the product are advised not to eat it<\/strong>; they should return it to the place of purchase or contact Nestl\u00e9 Consumer Services for replacements via phone at 1-800-681-1676 or email Nestleproductinquiry@casupport.com.<\/p>\n<p>For more information, visit <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fda.gov\/Safety\/Recalls\/ucm524634.htm#recall-photos\" target=\"_blank\">FDA.gov<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>(CSi) Nestle USA has issued a voluntary recall of some Drumstick ice cream cones due to a health risk.
