News)\u00a0 &#8212;\u00a0 The Jamestown College Convocation Committee is hosting Minneapolis\u2019 Mixed Blood Theatre\u2019s performance of <em>Dr. King\u2019s Dream, <\/em>a celebration of the life and career of Dr. Martin Luther King in this acclaimed production drawn from his own letters, sermons, books and speeches, including the timeless \u201cI Have A Dream\u201d. The performance is at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013,\u00a0in Voorhees Chapel. Admission is free.<\/p>\n<p>Warren C. Bowles\u2019 commanding solo performance is stirring and poignant. Bowles has toured for Mixed Blood as Dr. King since 1981. Among the most memorable of his scores of credits at Mixed Blood\u2019s historic firehouse theater are Lucien in <em>The Boys Next Door<\/em>, the title role in <em>Cyrano de Bergerac<\/em>, and the professor in <em>Oleanna<\/em>.\u00a0 He directed the theatre\u2019s touring production of <em>Daughters of Africa<\/em> and wrote and directed <em>African America<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Dr. King\u2019s Dream<\/em><\/strong> is one of four culturally-specific productions toured this season by Mixed Blood Theatre, a Minneapolis-based multicultural theatre company founded in 1976.\u00a0 The others include <em>Theory of Mind,<\/em> about a young man on the autism spectrum; <em>Daughters of Africa<\/em>, a music-driven history of African American women; and <em>African America<\/em>, a look at recent immigrants to Minnesota from Somalia, Ethiopia, and Liberia.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Jamestown, ND\u00a0 (KCSi-T.V.
