{"id":109231,"date":"2016-10-17T09:51:59","date_gmt":"2016-10-17T14:51:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=109231"},"modified":"2016-10-17T09:51:59","modified_gmt":"2016-10-17T14:51:59","slug":"kit-young-oct-14-2016-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=109231","title":{"rendered":"Kit Young &#8211; Oct 14, 2016"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Kit Young, 74, of Jamestown, ND, passed away Friday afternoon, October 14, 2016 at Eventide in Jamestown.<\/p>\n<p>Fern Mary \u201cKit\u201d Young was born October 9, 1942, in Fullerton, ND the daughter of B.C. and Rose (Barta) Simek. She was raised and attended school in Fullerton and attended college at Wahpeton State School of Science.\u00a0 Kit worked on an Air Force Base in San Bernardino, CA where she met Clyde Young.\u00a0 They were married on June 19, 1965 at the Union Church in Fullerton.\u00a0 They lived in California, Indiana, and Dickinson, ND before moving to Jamestown where their home has been since. Kit was a homemaker and raised two boys, Jeff and Kelly.\u00a0 She went to work in 1986 for Dardis Realty as an office manager, retiring in 2004.<\/p>\n<p>Kit was a member of the United Presbyterian Church and Elkettes. She enjoyed traveling and eating at good restaurants, and especially loved watching her five grandchildren and attending their events.<\/p>\n<p>Kit is survived by her husband, Clyde Young; two sons, Jeff &amp; Terri Young and Kelly Young &amp; Samantha Herrboldt; five grandchildren, Andy, Alexis, Britany, Hunter, and Oaklee; sister, Pam &amp; Allen Gjerdevig; and brother, Dean Simek.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Funeral Service:<\/strong> 10:30 a.m., Monday, October 17, 2016 at United Presbyterian Church, Jamestown, with Pastor Bob Boyar officiating.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Visitation:<\/strong> 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Sunday, October 16, 2016 at Williams Funeral Home, Jamestown.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kit Young, 74, of Jamestown, ND, passed away Friday afternoon, October 14, 2016 at Eventide in Jamestown.
