{"id":110224,"date":"2016-11-04T16:00:49","date_gmt":"2016-11-04T21:00:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=110224"},"modified":"2016-11-04T17:44:13","modified_gmt":"2016-11-04T22:44:13","slug":"pickup-bike-crash-leads-to-serious-injury","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=110224","title":{"rendered":"Bicyclist Dies, pickup-bike crash near Cooperstown"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-26016\" src=\"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/NDHP1-300x202.png\" alt=\"NDHP1\" width=\"300\" height=\"202\" \/>Update&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>The North Dakota Highway Patrol reports, the bicyclist died from injuries on November 3, 2016, suffered in accident.<\/p>\n<p>Jamestown\u00a0 (CSi)\u00a0 The North Dakota Highway Patrol reports a pickup, bicycle accident Wednesday afternoon about 2:45-p.m., on Griggs County Road 19, two miles south of Cooperstown seriously injured the bike rider.<\/p>\n<p>The report says a 2016 Ram pick up was northbound, coming upon a northbound bike rider.<\/p>\n<p>The pickup driver 52 year old Rick Rahlf of Cooperstown attempted to brake and swerve to avoid striking 67 year old Leslie Ronningen of Cooperstown.<\/p>\n<p>The pickup struck the bike and rider from behind causing them to vault into the east ditch.<\/p>\n<p>The report says Ronnigen received life-threatening injuries and was taken by Cooperstown Ambulance\u00a0 Service, to Cooperstown Medical Center and then flown to Essentia Hospital in Fargo.<\/p>\n<p>The crash remains under investigation.<\/p>\n<p>Assisting at the scene was the Griggs County Sheriff\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Update&#8230; The North Dakota Highway Patrol reports, the bicyclist died from injuries on November 3, 2016, suffered in accident.
