{"id":1104,"date":"2012-07-22T07:38:49","date_gmt":"2012-07-22T12:38:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=1104"},"modified":"2012-08-07T15:48:20","modified_gmt":"2012-08-07T20:48:20","slug":"elizabeth-schmidt-july-22-2012","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=1104","title":{"rendered":"Elizabeth Schmidt &#8211; July 22, 2012"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\">Elizabeth Schmidt, 88, Edgeley, ND died at Napoleon Care Center on Sunday, July 22, 2012.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Elizabeth Jacob was born on the family farm near Napoleon, ND on August 29, 1923 the daughter of Valentine and Veronica (Haegly) Jacob.\u00a0 She was raised on the farm and attended country school near Napoleon.\u00a0 Elizabeth married Peter Schmidt at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, Napoleon, ND on January 20, 1947.\u00a0 They farmed at Braddock, Jud and Edgeley, ND before moving into Edgeley in 1954 where Peter was employed at the LP Plant.\u00a0 Elizabeth worked at the Coffee Shop and Manor St. Joseph in Edgeley for many years.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\">Elizabeth was a member of Transfiguration Catholic Church, Edgeley, ND.\u00a0 She was a Lifetime member of the Transfiguration Altar Society.\u00a0 Elizabeth enjoyed cooking, quilting, gardening, and fishing with her husband.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Survivors include her husband; 4 sons, Philip (Melanie), Atlanta, GA, Lawrence (Valerie), Roger, Arkansas, Anthony (Debbie), Portland, OR; 2 daughters, Mary Jane Raguse, Bismarck, ND and Vonda (Stewart) Lane, Denver, CO; 13 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; 4 sisters, Agatha Brown and Katie Bachman, both Milwaukee, WI, Veronica (Pius) Schmidt, Napoleon, ND and Lugard Leier, Braddock, ND.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\">She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 sons; 1 brother; and 3 sisters.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\"><strong><br \/>\nEucharist of Christian Burial:<\/strong> 10:30 am, Thursday, July 27, 2012 at Transfiguration Catholic Church, Edgeley.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\"><strong>Visitation:<\/strong> 4:00 pm to 7:30 pm, Wednesday, July 26, 2012 at Transfiguration Catholic Church, Edgeley.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\"><strong>Prayer Service:<\/strong> 7:30 pm, Wednesday, July 26, 2012 at Transfiguration Catholic Church, Edgeley.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\"><strong>Interment<\/strong>: Mt.
