Annie Pfeifer died in Fargo, ND on November 20, 2016.<\/p>\n
Annie May Martin was born June 1, 1928 in Stirum, ND to John and Nellie (DeBoer) Martin.<\/p>\n
She completed grade school and high school in Stirum then attended Valley City State Teachers College.<\/p>\n
Annie taught in a one room school before marrying LeRoy “Bud” Pfeifer.<\/p>\n
They were married, August 26, 1947 in Valley City, ND.<\/p>\n
The couple farmed in the area for a couple of years before settling in Valley City where they raised 5 children.<\/p>\n
Ann had a long career at St. Catherine’s School.<\/p>\n
For several years, she managed the cafeteria and then finished in the school office.<\/p>\n
She loved her time at St. Kate’s, punching the hot lunch tickets of a couple generations of kids.<\/p>\n
She loved to crochet, gifting countless afghans and doilies, touching the lives of many.<\/p>\n
She will be missed!<\/p>\n
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, LeRoy; a great grandson, James; her daughter-in-law, LeeAnn; and her brother, Leonard.<\/p>\n
She is survived by her children, Greg (Sharon) Pfeifer, Lois (Gary) Ames, Marlin (Camie) Pfeifer, Steve (Kris) Pfeifer, and Lynette (Shane Schock) Wavra; 13 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; a sister, Carol; and a brother, Floyd.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
