Scott Louser says residents of North Dakota should get a break from paying state income tax this year and next.\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The Minot Republican told the House Finance and Tax Committee on Monday that it&#8217;s an attempt to decrease the tax burden on the citizens of oil-rich North Dakota. The measure would apply to individuals, estates and trusts.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Budget analysts say North Dakota&#8217;s coffers would take a more than $1 billion hit over the next two years if the bill becomes law.
