\"\"Jamestown (CSi)\u00a0 A county-wide test of the CodeRED mass notification system was completed on Friday, February 17, 2017, by Stutsman County Communications. The test began at 1:03 pm and included landlines, cell phones, TDD, text messaging, email, and mobile app notifications.<\/p>\n

Results of the testing related to text messages and emails indicated that<\/p>\n

100% of the text and email messages were delivered without issue.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Results related to the phone testing indicated that only 70% of the phone<\/p>\n

numbers registered into the system received the test CodeRED message.\u00a0 The<\/p>\n

number of people notified could be dramatically increased if individuals<\/p>\n

would take the time to register their cell phone numbers with CodeRED.\u00a0 Land<\/p>\n

line telephone numbers are already included in the notification database.<\/p>\n

We will be working with telephone service providers to review their<\/p>\n

information for accuracy.<\/p>\n

To receive notifications via cell phone, email or text, individuals must<\/p>\n

sign up for the service by going to the Stutsman County website<\/p>\n

(http:\/\/www.co.stutsman.nd.us\/<\/a>), scroll to the bottom of the page and click<\/p>\n

on the CodeRED icon.\u00a0 Those without Internet access can call Stutsman County<\/p>\n

Emergency Management at 701-252-9093, Monday through Friday, (8AM-5PM) to sign up over the phone.<\/p>\n

CodeRED is used to alert Stutsman County residents of emergency events and<\/p>\n

notifications of immediate concern to the public.\u00a0 CodeRED service is free<\/p>\n

of charge to residents and businesses.\u00a0 Questions regarding CodeRED services<\/p>\n

Jamestown\u00a0 (CSi)\u00a0 On Friday, February 17, 2017, Stutsman County Communications performed a county-wide test of the CodeRED mass notification system.\u00a0 The test will occurred between 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m.\u00a0 This system is used to alert residents of emergency events and notifications of immediate concern to the public.\u00a0 CodeRED informs the public by calling all land line telephones within the selected warned area.\u00a0 It also alerts those individuals that have signed up for notifications via cell phone, email or text message.<\/p>\n

The test message tr on Friday was general in nature and described that the call is a CodeRED test call.\u00a0 Residents did not need to respond to the message.\u00a0 CodeRED service is free of charge to residents and businesses. Land line telephones are already included in the notification database.<\/p>\n
