(AP) .\u00a0 A fugitive from Kentucky has been arrested in North Dakota.\u00a0 A<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">uthorities say 52-year-old Barry Maiden was apprehended Friday in Jamestown.\u00a0 Maiden is wanted for terroristic threats toward law enforcement. He also faces a weapons and explosives charge.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Jamestown Police Lt. Justin Blinsky says officers were called to assist U.S. marshals in the arrest at a\u00a0 Southeast Jamestown residence. Maiden was taken into custody without incident.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Blinsky \u00a0reported that \u201cBecause of the severity of the outstanding warrants for Maiden, we knew he needed to be arrested quickly.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Police\u00a0obtained a no-knock warrant and\u00a0carried out the action with\u00a0the assistance of the James Valley Special Operations Unit:\u00a0 The Stutsman County Sheriff\u2019s Department, The Barnes County Sheriff\u2019s Department and the North Dakota Highway Patrol.<\/p>\n<p>Roosevelt\u00a0 Elementary\u00a0\u00a0School released children to their parents\u00a0 as a safety precaution.<\/p>\n<p>Officials\u00a0 verbally \u00a0commanded \u00a0Maiden to exit the home. \u00a0A female, who\u00a0purportedly has a relationship with Maiden, exited the home first\u00a0followed shortly after by Maiden. There was no conflict or struggle.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Maiden is currently being held in\u00a0the Stutsman County Correctional Center \u00a0Jamestown until he can be extradited to Kentucky to face charges.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>JAMESTOWN, N.D.
