\"\"Jamestown\u00a0 (CSi) \u00a0 <\/strong>For the fourth year in a row, Jamestown Regional Medical Center (JRMC) was named one of the Top 100 Critical Access Hospitals in the United States by iVantage Health Analytics and The Chartis Center for Rural Health.<\/p>\n

JRMC Chief Executive Officer K.C DeBoer\u00a0 says, \u201cThis achievement is very gratifying and validates JRMC\u2019S commitment to providing the best health care possible for our community.\u201d<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

There are 1,332 hospitals across the United States that qualify as a Critical Access Hospital (CHA), a designation that was created by Congress in 1997 to improve healthcare access in rural areas. JRMC has maintained its critical access designation since 2009.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

JRMC scored in the top 100 of Critical Access Hospitals on iVantage Health Analytics\u2019 Hospital Strength INDEX\u00ae. To be named to the Top 100 hospital list means you have outperformed your peers on each pillar of the hospital INDEX measure. The INDEX is the industry\u2019s most comprehensive rating of rural providers, and measures hospitals across eight areas of hospital strength: Inpatient Share Ranking, Outpatient Share Ranking, Cost, Charge, Quality, Outcomes, Patient Perspectives, and Financial Stability.<\/p>\n

JRMC Quality and Risk Manager Jenna Bredahl says that JRMC performed well in all areas of the analysis, but specifically in clear patient\/doctor communication.<\/p>\n

She says, \u201c JRMC is dedicated to exceeding our patients\u2019 expectations and to be a difference in their lives. This is demonstrated by our patients\u2019 voice which gave our nursing and doctor communication 5 stars.”<\/p>\n

The INDEX measurement was designed as a model and analysis for critical access hospitals to model and measure their performance.<\/p>\n

JRMC Chief Nursing Officer Trisha Jungels says that JRMC consistently works to exceed industry standards, and one example of that is through exceptional patient care.\u00a0\u00a0 She says, \u201c Our close-knit health care community empowers nurses and providers to work closely together to provide consistent care.\u00a0 The end result is exceptional patient health outcomes,\u201d says Jungels.<\/p>\n

JRMC has won this award in 2014, 2015, 2016 \u00a0and now 2017.<\/p>\n
