{"id":117490,"date":"2017-03-12T05:00:59","date_gmt":"2017-03-12T10:00:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=117490"},"modified":"2017-03-20T07:51:06","modified_gmt":"2017-03-20T12:51:06","slug":"2017-ice-show-mar-17-18-19-jmst","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=117490","title":{"rendered":"2017 Ice Show Mar 17-19 Jamestown"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Jamestown\u00a0 (CSi)\u00a0 The 40<sup>th<\/sup> Annual James River Figure Skating Club\u2019s 40<sup>th<\/sup> Annual, Ice Show in Jamestown is \u201cThe Great Outdoors.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The show will be held at Wilson Arena in Jamestown:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Friday, March 17 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Show at 7:00 pm<\/li>\n<li>Saturday, March 18\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Shows at 2:00 pm &amp; 7:00 pm<\/li>\n<li>Sunday, March 19\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Show at 2:00 pm<\/li>\n<li><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>T<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-117491 alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/figure-skaters-2017-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/figure-skaters-2017-300x200.jpg 300w, http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/figure-skaters-2017-263x175.jpg 263w, http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/figure-skaters-2017.jpg 529w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>ickets in advance are available from skaters, and at Gifts From The Heart, and Neighborhood Grocery.<\/p>\n<p>In advance, tickets are: $8 for adults, $6 for students, and elementary school students in Jamestown and the area will be provided with free tickets.<\/p>\n<p>At the door tickets are: $10 for adults, and $8 for students.<\/p>\n<p>&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>On Wednesday\u2019s Wayne Byers Show on CSi Cable 2,\u00a0 Judy Jorgenson said, the show is produced by club members with support of the board of directors and the community. Over 40 skaters are participating in this year\u2019s show, ranging in ages from 3-17 years. This show is directed and choreographed by the club professional and coach, Mark Vasarhelyi.<\/p>\n<p>She said, Coach Mark brings his creative flare to the ice with the hard work of the skaters. Together, we proudly present a quality show for our community.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Coach Vasarhelyi, also on our show noted that he\u2019s been in Jamestown the past 20 years, also the choreography for the annual ice show.\u00a0 He has skated professionally, with Disney On Ice.<\/p>\n<p>He says this year\u2019s theme, The Great Outdoors highlights activities such as a Bear Hunt, Horseback Riding and more.<\/p>\n<p>Again this year the Jamestown High School Boys Hockey team members will be performing in a number.<\/p>\n<p>Judy adds, all of the individuals assisting in the production of \u201cThe Great Outdoors\u201d are volunteers. Their time and efforts bring some of the best entertainment available to residents of the Jamestown area. It is with great pride that \u201cwe thank them for their help.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She said there is a Special Edition of the Show Book this year, featuring color photos.<\/p>\n<p>She noted that the Ice Show Boutique carries many gift items for purchase that may be given to skaters, or to purchase for themselves.<\/p>\n<p>It includes a wide variety of balloons, fresh flowers, candy bouquets and many other items.<\/p>\n<p>The James River Figure Skating club was sanctioned by the United States Figure Skating Association (USFSA) in 1978.
