Barbara G. Cole, 57, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 7, 2017 at Sanford Hospital in Fargo, surrounded by her family.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 11 at 10:30 AM at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Buffalo, ND.\u00a0 Burial will take place at the Page Cemetery at a later date.
\nMonday from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM, visitation will be held in the church, with a prayer service beginning at\u00a0at 7:00 PM.
\nBarbara was born on September 16, 1959 in Jamestown, ND; she was the 9th of 14 children born to Clifford & Madeline (Kroeger) Baumann.\u00a0 She graduated high school from North Central of Barnes, Rogers, ND.\u00a0 She was an accounting technician for several years.\u00a0 After becoming a Certified Bookkeeper\/Tax Preparer, she opened her own business in Enderlin, ND.
\nBarbara was united in marriage to Tom Cole, on November 23, 1979 in Sanborn, ND.\u00a0 She and Tom had two children, Adam and Aaron, and lived in Valley City, Page, Wahpeton and Beulah, and eventually made their home in Buffalo, ND.
\nBarbara was an active church member and belonged to St. Thomas Catholic Church of Buffalo.\u00a0 Over the years, she enjoyed playing co-ed softball with her husband, Tom, darts, occasional trips to the casino and spending time with family and friends.\u00a0 She touched the lives of many with her humor, wit and compassion.\u00a0 Barbara was a devoted and loving wife and mother and was so proud to be \u201cGrammy\u201d to her three grandchildren.
\nShe is survived by her husband, Tom of Buffalo; two children, Adam (Sheena) of Bismarck, ND and Aaron of Buffalo; three grandchildren, Avery, Eleanor, and Anson; mother Lynn (Kroeger) Baumann of Valley City, ND; ND; brothers: Benard (Cyndee); Robert (Judy); Steven; Gary (Jan); Jay (Terrie); Brent; sisters: Julie Franklin; Jean Swenson; Mary (Edward) Hollingshead; Darlene Marcotte; Kathleen Filagia; Lori (Steven) Hoppe; Terilyn Blotske; and several nieces and nephews.
\nShe was preceded in death by her father (Clifford P. Baumann), father-in-law (Wayne Cole)and her grandparents; 4 brothers-in-law (Steve Marcotte, Lyle Franklin, John John Blotske, and Lynn Paulson); and one niece (Kalylee Baumann).
