To 450 cfs<\/p>\n<p>The new release of 450 cfs will raise the level of the James River through Jamestown by at least a foot.\u00a0 No action is required by the city with that level.<\/p>\n<p>Martin says over this past weekend, run off from the upper basin above Jamestown Dam increased to 2600 cfs.<\/p>\n<p>He points out that the goal, depending on any major rain event that may occur, is to keep the Jamestown Dam release at 450 cfs, and Pipestem Dam at a zero release until June 1, 2017 and bring down the Jamestown Reservoir flood storage by seven feet, to near the freeze up level.\u00a0 Currently Jamestown Reservoir is 12-percent in the flood storage area.\u00a0 Pipestem Dam is 16 percent in the flood storage area, both acceptable at this time.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Jamestown (CSi)\u00a0 Changes in the releases from Jamestown \u00a0and Pipestem Dams were made Monday afternoon.
