He added that the library has started to set aside dollars for the initiative, with the fund raised to be stepped up soon.<\/p>\n<p>He added that the Alfred Dickey Public Library will be 100 years old in 2019, and expansion will be similar to the original plans to expand to the north with the acquisition of the Maranatha Building and the Maple Mall. \u00a0\u00a0The plan will complete the combination of the Stutsman County Library, Bookmobile and the Alfred Dickey Public Library approved by voters in 2008.<\/p>\n<p>The plans will be on display at the library\u2019s booth and the Home and Garden Show at the Civic Center April 22, and 23<sup>rd<\/sup>, 2017.<\/p>\n<p>Bill said the new Stutsman County Bookmobile is now in operation, serving seven county locations and 20 city locations\u00a0 The Bookmobile accounts for\u00a0 25 percent of the total library circulation.<\/p>\n<p>Jill pointed out that the library\u2019s membership drive is underway.<\/p>\n<p>She said The Friends Group\u2019s mission is to increase the awareness of the library\u2019s importance to the community, advocate for the renovation and expansion, and raise funds for the project.<\/p>\n<p>It also promotes electronic and traditional diversity of services, and assists in children\u2019s and adult programming.<\/p>\n<p>For more information, on line visit: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.friendsofjrvl.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Friends of James River Valley Library<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Jamestown (CSi)\u00a0 The James River Valley, Friends of the Library present, \u201cLove Your Library Week,\u00a0 April 24-28&#8243;,\u00a0 with events and activities for the public at the Alfred Dickey Public Library in Downtown Jamestown.
