The business had built several structures at their new location on east Main Street.<\/p>\n<p>The Community Spirit Award goes to Faith Lutheran Church and Epworth United Methodist Church for promoting all that is good in Valley City. After the fire that destroyed the old Faith Lutheran Church, it brought both churches and their members together for several months while the new church was being built.<\/p>\n<p>Valley City native Paula Bestge Klein the owner of &#8220;Smartt Interior Construction,&#8221; of Fargo was the keynote speaker.<\/p>\n<p>She was awarded the 2015 North Dakota Small Business Person of the Year and North Dakota CTB Woman Entrepreneur of the Year.<\/p>\n<p>Barnes County Development Jennifer Feist spoke about the growth of businesses in the region regarding millions of dollars in building permits issued over the last four years in Valley City and Barnes County.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Valley City\u00a0\u00a0 (CSi)\u00a0 The Valley City Area Chamber of Commerce and Development Corporation held it&#8217;s annual banquet April 20, 2017, at VCSU.
