\"\"Jamestown\u00a0 (CSi)\u00a0 The North Dakota Highway Patrol investigated two crashes that occurred Friday and Saturday near Jamestown<\/p>\n

On Friday evening just before 8-p.m., 50 year old Dulaga Mustafic,\u00a0 of Fargo was driving a 2003 Chevrolet Express east on Interstate 94 east of exit 258 in Jamestown. Mustafic lost control of the vehicle, which went into the ditch and rolled down an embankment.<\/p>\n

Mustafic was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle. He was transported by Jamestown Area Ambulance Service \u00a0to Jamestown Regional Medical Center and later taken by Life Flight to Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, receiving serious injuries.<\/p>\n

Assisting at the scene were, the Jamestown Police Department and Stutsman County Sheriff’s Office.<\/p>\n

Just after 2-p.m., Saturday, the Highway Patrol investigated a crash involving a 2003 Kenworth pulling a reefer trailer, and a 2004 Mercury Sable, on I 94 14 miles west of Jamestown.<\/div>\n

The report says the Mercury operated by 24 year old Osman Hirsi of Bismarck, \u00a0was traveling eastbound on I 94 in the right lane.\u00a0 The Kenworth driven by 29 year old \u00a0Ben Christen of Albany, Minnesota\u00a0was also eastbound and approached the Mercury from the rear.\u00a0\u00a0Christen \u00a0became distracted and did not observe the Mercury in front of him.<\/p>\n

Just prior to the collision,\u00a0Hirsi attempted to swerve to the right to avoid the Kenworth which then rear ended the Mercury.\u00a0 After the collision, the Kenworth jackknifed and entered the median where it came to rest on its passenger side facing west.<\/p>\n

The Mercury came to rest in the eastbound lane facing east. The female passenger of the Mercury 23 year old, Ogbad Jama\u00a0was transported to Jamestown Regional Medical Center by Medina Ambulance Service\u00a0where she was treated and released. The driver of the Mercury was not hurt.<\/p>\n

The occupants of the Kenworth, Christen and a five year old male from Albany\u00a0were transported to Jamestown Regional Medical Center where they were treated and released.<\/p>\n

All occupants were wearing seat belts.<\/p>\n

Also assisting at the scene was the Stutsman County Sheriff’s Office.<\/p>\n
