Barnes Relay for Life held Friday &#8211; photos"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Valley City\u00a0 (CSi)\u00a0 The Barnes County Relay for Life was held Friday June 16, 2017 at the Barnes County Courthouse. \u00a0This year\u2019s goal\u00a0was to raise $35,000.<\/p>\n<p>Spokesperson,\u00a0 Rad Nicholson reports that\u00a0during the donation ceremony, the Denton Berntson estate donated $790,000 to\u00a0Barnes Relay for Life. $640,000 will go toward colon cancer treatment and another $150,000 will go toward breast cancer treatment.<\/p>\n<p>Last year the estate donated $500,000 to the Relay for Life.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0estate has donated a total of $1,290,000 over the last two years.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #800080;\">107 Photos from 2017
