{"id":123765,"date":"2017-06-20T07:35:51","date_gmt":"2017-06-20T12:35:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=123765"},"modified":"2017-06-20T09:59:23","modified_gmt":"2017-06-20T14:59:23","slug":"clean-up-of-the-james-river-being-addressed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=123765","title":{"rendered":"Water Board appoints James River task force"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-123794\" src=\"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/JamesRiverJmst.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"289\" height=\"216\" \/>Jamestown\u00a0 (CSi) \u00a0Cleanup of the James River in the City continues to be addressed, as the Stutsman County Water Resource Board appointed a 7 member task force to recommend action to the board.<\/p>\n<p>The task force includes the Chairperson, Jamestown Area Chamber of Commerce Past-President \u00a0Joan Morris, Stutsman County auditor\/chief operating officer Casey Bradly, along with John Schock, from Stutsman County Water Resource Board<\/p>\n<p>Also on the Task Force is \u00a0Jamison Veil, as a\u00a0 city representative, BJ Kratz, from \u00a0North Dakota Game and Fish; Bob Martin from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and Stutsman County Emergency Manager, Bergquist. Morris was appointed chair of the task force.<\/p>\n<p>The board approved entering into an agreement with Moore Engineering for $1,000 to apply for a $50,000 grant from the North Dakota State Water Commission.<\/p>\n<p>The task force will be putting \u00a0together information to present to the board on seeking a one mill property tax to pay for the remainder of the James River cleanup, that would generate about $100,000 in revenue annually.<\/p>\n<p>The cost on house valued at $100,000 would an additional $4.50 each year.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Jamestown\u00a0 (CSi) \u00a0Cleanup of the James River in the City continues to be addressed, as the Stutsman County Water Resource Board appointed a 7 member task force to recommend action to the board.
