The recommendation comes from a committee reviewing the application.<\/p>\n<p>She assumes the positions on August 1, 2017.<\/p>\n<p>City Administrator Schelkoph the position is full time and will provide sound advice in both areas.\u00a0 The recommendation comes from a committee reviewing the application.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"Default\">The Commission approved the transfer of ownership of 18\u2019 x 50\u2019 portion of parcel number 63-3020644 to Derek Bruns.\u00a0\u00a0 <span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt;\">The property will be replatted at the owner&#8217;s expense.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Approved a Joint Powers Agreement with Barnes County for Truck Regulation Enforcement. \u00a0Police Chief Hatcher said \u00a0the action will help enforce truck regulations and the county to come in to the city for enforcement.<\/p>\n<p>Approved an initial application for retail tobacco license for the Dollar General Store. City Administrator Schelkoph said a maximum of 14 licenses are allowed.\u00a0 One retailer dropped out and Dollar General was approved.<\/p>\n<p>Approved the installation allowance for replacing overhead service with underground at $3.00\/ft. \u00a0City Administrator Schelkoph the allowance encourages property owners to put overhead lines underground.\u00a0 The previous allowance was $1.50\/ft.<\/p>\n<p>Approved an Engineering Agreement for Mill Dam Erosion project, for rip rap, \u00a0in the amount of $22,200.\u00a0 \u00a0KLJ reported the next steps are permitting and design, followed by bid letting and work this fall.\u00a0 An application will be made for mitigation cost sharing with Devils Lake through the state.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Approved an application for property tax exemption for improvements to residential property at 1016 Riverview Drive. Assessor Sandy Hansen said the exemption is on the improved value.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Default\"><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt;\">Approved a gaming site authorization for Valley City Hockey and Figure Skating Club at Town and Country Club, 500 12<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 7.0pt;\">th <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt;\">Ave NE <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"Default\"><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt;\">Approved a gaming site authorization for Valley City State University Foundation at Shelly Ellig Field at Lokken Stadium, W.E.
