{"id":125715,"date":"2017-07-24T20:32:15","date_gmt":"2017-07-25T01:32:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=125715"},"modified":"2017-07-25T08:28:30","modified_gmt":"2017-07-25T13:28:30","slug":"tourism-okays-2018-budget","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=125715","title":{"rendered":"Jamestown Tourism Okays 2018 budget"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-106049\" src=\"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/TourismSign2016-300x202.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"202\" srcset=\"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/TourismSign2016-300x202.jpg 300w, http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/TourismSign2016-260x175.jpg 260w, http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/TourismSign2016.jpg 445w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>Jamestown\u00a0 (CSi)\u00a0 Jamestown Tourism\u2019s Board of Directors Monday, unanimously approved the 2018 budget.\u00a0 Board members Lisa Barnick, Tim Burchill and Jamie Desai were not present Monday.<\/p>\n<p>The $435,550 budget moves funds internally without increasing the overall dollars from 2017.<\/p>\n<p>The 2018 budget reduces administrative costs to adjust for a four percent wage increase.<\/p>\n<p>Part time staff increases and the cost of a contracted audit is required every three years.<\/p>\n<p>Also internal budget shifts allows the $150,000 in grant funds that Jamestown Tourism awards will still be available to award to area organizations,<\/p>\n<p>Jamestown Tourism is funded by the city visitors\u2019 promotion fund, which is comprised of all city lodging tax proceeds and 80 percent of restaurant tax proceeds.
