\"\"Jamestown\u00a0 (CSi) \u00a0Police are warning residents regarding a convicted sex offender living in Jamestown.<\/p>\n

Sandy Lee Mangelsen resides at the Starlite Motel, 1610 Bus Loop East #12 in\u00a0Jamestown.<\/p>\n

He presently has no vehicle.<\/p>\n

Mangelsen is a 30 year old white male, six feet on inch tall, weighing 185 pounds with green eyes and blond hair.<\/p>\n

He has been assigned a high risk assessment by the North Dakota risk level committee of the Office of the North Dakota Attorney General.<\/p>\n

Offense: Gross Sexual Imposition, while he was a registered sex offender, involving a 14 year old girl.<\/p>\n

Conviction Date: Novmeber 2007 in Grand Forks, ND District Court.<\/p>\n

Disposition: 60 days, 30 days suspended, 5 years supervised probation.<\/p>\n

Offense: Sexual Contact with females under 16 years old, when Mangelsen was 18 years old.<\/p>\n

The offense was discovered when police investigated Mangelsen touching a 19 year old girl.<\/p>\n

Conviction: January 2001, in Codington, SD, District Court.<\/p>\n

Disposition:\u00a0 180 days, suspended for one year.<\/p>\n

He is currently on GPS Monitoring, and is on probation with North Dakota Probation and parole.<\/p>\n

Mangelsen is not wanted by police at this time and has served the sentence imposed by the court.<\/p>\n

This notification is meant for public safety and not to increase fear in the community, nor should this information be used to threaten, assault, or intimidate the offender.<\/p>\n

Any attempts to harass, intimidate or threaten these offenders, their families, landlords, or employers will be turned over for prosecution.<\/p>\n
