Women will find inspiration from nationally-recognized speakers and encouragement to eliminate the words \u201cI can\u2019t\u201d and \u201cthere are limits\u201d from their vocabulary.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in; margin-bottom: .0001pt;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11.5pt; font-family: 'Helvetica',sans-serif;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in; margin-bottom: .0001pt;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11.5pt; font-family: 'Helvetica',sans-serif;\">Chelsey Jacobson, NDFU conference leader, says, \u201cThe goal of the conference is to encourage women to be active and passionate about getting involved in their communities and in leadership roles.\u201d<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in; margin-bottom: .0001pt;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11.5pt; font-family: 'Helvetica',sans-serif;\">Lauren Leader-Chivee, a writer, researcher and thought leader on diversity and women\u2019s issues in the workplace and in between, is one of two keynote speakers. She was named by <em><span style=\"font-family: 'Helvetica',sans-serif;\">Fortune<\/span><\/em> magazine as one of the \u201c50 Most Influential Women on Twitter,\u201d and currently serves on the prestigious Council on Foreign Relations. She is the author of <em><span style=\"font-family: 'Helvetica',sans-serif;\">Crossing the Thinnest Line<\/span><\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in; margin-bottom: .0001pt;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11.5pt; font-family: 'Helvetica',sans-serif;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in; margin-bottom: .0001pt;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11.5pt; font-family: 'Helvetica',sans-serif;\">North Dakotan Rebecca Undem will also share the speaker spotlight. She aims to inspire women to live BIG (Bold, Inspired, Growth-Oriented) lives and view all the detours as an opportunity to grow and evolve. She\u2019ll share relatable excerpts from her book, <em><span style=\"font-family: 'Helvetica',sans-serif;\">How Mommy Got Her Groove Back<\/span><\/em>, which encourages people to take a step back and focus on the important things in life.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in; margin-bottom: .0001pt;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11.5pt; font-family: 'Helvetica',sans-serif;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in; margin-bottom: .0001pt;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11.5pt; font-family: 'Helvetica',sans-serif;\">The conference begins with the popular Ladies\u2019 Night on Wednesday, Sept. 13. Participants can shop at a variety of vendor booths, enjoy appetizers and wine, and learn some self-defense techniques taught by the North Dakota Safety Council.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in; margin-bottom: .0001pt;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11.5pt; font-family: 'Helvetica',sans-serif;\">\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in; margin-bottom: .0001pt;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11.5pt; font-family: 'Helvetica',sans-serif;\">Along with keynote speakers on Thursday, Sept. 14, a panel of North Dakota women in agriculture and leadership positions will be sharing their inspiring stories.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in; margin-bottom: .0001pt;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11.5pt; font-family: 'Helvetica',sans-serif;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in; margin-bottom: .0001pt;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11.5pt; font-family: 'Helvetica',sans-serif;\">Conference sponsors include NDFU, Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota, and Farmers Union Insurance.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in; margin-bottom: .0001pt;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11.5pt; font-family: 'Helvetica',sans-serif;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in; margin-bottom: .0001pt;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11.5pt; font-family: 'Helvetica',sans-serif;\">Cost of the two-day event is $99 and open to the public. Attendees must be NDFU members ($30 membership required).
