Evon Sandra Sako,\u00a077, passed away on\u00a0September 12, 2017\u00a0at\u00a0Ava Maria Village\u00a0in\u00a0Jamestown, ND.She was born on\u00a0June 4, 1940 in\u00a0Minneapolis, MN to\u00a0Elmer and\u00a0MabelSako.<\/p>\n
Evon grew up in\u00a0Minneapolis, MN.She graduated from\u00a0North High in Minneapolis\u00a0in\u00a01958. After high school she attended\u00a0the University of MN and then entered the work force. Evon went back to school to get her accounting degree at NIU and later became a CPA. She worked for CR Industries and Fujisawa. In the late 90\u2019s she moved to St Cloud, MN where she was active with her grandchildren and her church, First United Methodist. She was a member and bookkeeper for UMW.<\/p>\n
When she was diagnosed with Alzheimer\u2019s, she moved to Jamestown, ND to be closer to her oldest daughter.<\/p>\n
Evon is survived byher sister Marilyn Savage of St Cloud, MN; two daughters, Lauren Sako (Scott Krein) of Jamestown, ND and Elaine (Keith) Pyle of Crystal Lake, IL; and two grandchildren, Benjamin Salomonsen and Natalie (Nik) Eccless;\u00a0and her many cousins.<\/p>\n
Evon was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Mabel.<\/p>\n

A funeral service will be held at\u00a0Apostolic Lutheran Churchat 9401 Bataan St NE, Blaine, MN\u00a0at\u00a01pm, Saturday September 23. A visitation will be held at\u00a0the church from noon to 1pm.
