\"\"Jamestown (CSi)\u00a0 The Jamestown City Council\u2019s committees all met in joint session Tuesday at 3-p.m., at City Hall. Council Member Gumke was not present.<\/p>\n

FINANCE & LEGAL COMMITTEE :<\/strong><\/p>\n

The committee recommends approving\u00a0 the request from the JSDC for approval of the new proposed path for providing public access incorporating the former Klose property on the east half of Section 28 in Spiritwood Township with the SEPA Energy Park.<\/p>\n

The committee recommends approving the request from JSDC for approval of the sale of the FARRMS building in Medina in the amount of $122,500. The action allows ownership transfers to access federal dollars.<\/p>\n

JSDC dollars will return to it.<\/p>\n

The committee recommends approving engaging Valuations Northwest, Inc., to provide building appraisal and inventory\/appraisal of fixed assets (equipment) for the City of Jamestown as follows:<\/p>\n

Construction Valuation $12,875<\/p>\n

Infrastructure (Roads, Bridges &<\/p>\n

Underground Piping) $ 1,250<\/p>\n

Estimated Travel & Expenses $ 1,100<\/p>\n

Equipment Valuation $11,775<\/p>\n

Asset Tagging Surcharge (optional, was not included in the approval) $ 2,185 <\/strong><\/p>\n

City Administrator Jeff Fuchs says the State Fire and Tornado insurance fund requires a reappraisal every six years.<\/p>\n

Public entities are not required to have an appraisal.\u00a0 However he suggests an appraisal will ensure proper insurance coverage.<\/p>\n

The committee discussed \u00a0a letter from Paul Ebertz requesting the variance granted to Tim Newton at 1418 5th Ave. NE be rescinded. The variance is too close to his property according to Ebertz, regarding lot coverage.\u00a0 The variance does not include using the property for commercial purposes.<\/p>\n

Not enough information is in hand for the committee to make a recommendation on Tuesday and the request was moved to the City Council without recommendation.<\/p>\n

The committee recommends approving \u00a0the request from Scherbenske, Inc., to be allowed to suspend the NW Water Main lining (NW Water Main Replacement District #17-61) until the spring of 2018 without liquidated damages and no additional cost to the City.<\/p>\n
