Our Nation is heartbroken. \u00a0We mourn with all whose loved ones were murdered and injured in last night’s horrible tragedy in Las Vegas, Nevada.As we grieve, we pray that God may provide comfort and relief to all those suffering.<\/p>\n

As a mark of respect for the victims of the senseless act of violence perpetrated on October 1, 2017, by the authority vested in me as President of the United States by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, I hereby order that the flag of the United States shall be flown at half-staff at the White House and upon all public buildings and grounds, at all military posts and naval stations, and on all naval vessels of the Federal Government in the District of Columbia and throughout the United States and its Territories and possessions until sunset, October 6, 2017. \u00a0I also direct that the flag shall be flown at half-staff for the same length of time at all United States embassies, legations, consular offices, and other facilities abroad, including all military facilities and naval vessels and stations.<\/p>\n

BISMARCK, N.D. (Oct. 2, 2017) \u2013 Gov. Doug Burgum Monday directed all government agencies to fly the United States and North Dakota flags at half-staff until sunset Friday, Oct. 6, and encouraged North Dakotans to do the same at their homes and businesses, as a mark of respect for the victims of Sunday\u2019s tragic mass shooting in Las Vegas.<\/p>\n

The governor\u2019s directive is in accordance with a proclamation issued today by President Donald Trump.<\/p>\n

\u201cKathryn and I extend our deepest sympathies to all those affected by this horrific act of violence in Las Vegas,\u201d Burgum said. \u201cWith heavy hearts, we grieve the victims of this tragedy, send our thoughts and prayers to their families and friends and express our gratitude to the first responders and law enforcement officers for their swift action.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
