On Thursday\u2019s (Feb 21, 2013) Wayne Byers Show on CSi Cable 2, Ave Maria, Administrator,\u00a0Tim Burchill said, over $30,000 was raised that will benefit AMV\u2019s Capital Campaign for a new All-Faiths Chapel, the McCoy Family Suite for patients in their last days and a Transport Center, to be located south of the main entrance.<\/p>\n

Ground for the projected is expected to be broken in April this year with the projected expected to take about nine months to complete.<\/p>\n

The campaign has now reached $905,000 of its $1,325,000 goal.<\/p>\n

David Nething of Jamestown is the Capital Campaign, Chairman.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

MC Merrill Piepkorn was joined by a cast of local all-star talent including the soliloquist Bruce Berg, the Jamestown Children\u2019s Choir led by Meredith Meidinger, the Sophistikix coached by Deb Hanson, and the Jamestown High School Jazz Band led by Brandon Bondley.<\/p>\n

Also appearing were Bruno Big Elvis, comedian Travis Voeltz, guitarist Steve Kuykendall, pianist Dustin Lien, the Ken Gilbertson & Kerry Wicks duo and vocalist Jenny Thom.<\/p>\n

MC Merrill and Loy Larson, \u00bd of the Radio All-Stars, completed the North Dakota program.<\/p>\n

Between the live performances, CEO Tim Burchill and Merrill interviewed local residents Fr. Al Bitz, and Rev. Terry Anderson about the new all-faiths chapel, Arva Dell and Bryce Tahran, (daughter and grand-son of the Rev. N.E. & Lillian McCoy) about the new family suite and Gary Koebernick, the AMV driver, about the new transport center.<\/p>\n

Carol & John Doehler were asked about their wedding that was held at AMV so that John\u2019s mother Bette, a resident of AMV, could attend. Carol said “We couldn\u2019t have asked for better care for Bette. Having the wedding at Ave Maria Village was among her last wishes.” Bette passed away four days after the wedding.<\/p>\n

AMV resident Blanche Johnson was interviewed along with Joyce Sinclair whose husband Charles is a resident. “I love it, I just love it there,” Blanche said. Joyce followed up with “Love the staff, love the administrator. Charles is very well taken care of.” (photo attached)<\/p>\n
