Raymond T. Game, 89, of Jamestown, ND, died February 26, 2013 at his home.\u00a0 He was born in Jamestown to George James Game and Lois Pearl Reed Game on July 27, 1923.\u00a0 He was a 1941 graduate of Jamestown High School, and shortly after graduation enlisted in the United States Army Air Corps which became the Air Force in 1947.\u00a0 He was a flight officer, certified to fly B24\u2019s and several other aircraft.<\/p>\n
Ray returned to Jamestown and worked for Burlington Northern.\u00a0 He later joined the family business Reed Coal Company which later became known as Game Fuel Company, of which he was owner\/operator.\u00a0 He also sold Rusco Windows, was a crop sprayer, and known around the area as an aerial fox hunter.<\/p>\n
He was an avid flier, hunter, sportsman, and golfer.\u00a0 He was often seen riding his yellow Honda scooter throughout town and the countryside during the spring to fall seasons.<\/p>\n
Ray was one of the founding members of the Jamestown Country Club where he became known as \u201ceveryday Ray\u201d.\u00a0 He was a member of the Stutsman County Fair Board for 58 years, the longest standing member.\u00a0 Ray served many years on the Airport Authority, was a Lifetime member of the Elks, American Legion, and\u00a0the Masons.<\/p>\n
Ray married Mary Theresa McMahon on March 9, 1945, in Westover Field, Massachusetts.\u00a0 They made their home in Jamestown and raised 4 children.\u00a0 They were divorced in 1979.<\/p>\n
Ray is survived by Thomas Game, CA, Marney Shirley, Jamestown, Nancy (Bruce) Anderson, Minot, and Barbara, Bloomington, MN; 4 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.<\/p>\n
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, George James \u201cJimmie\u201d Game; and sister, Averill Reed Grettenberg. \nPer Ray\u2019s request there will be no funeral services.\u00a0 His family is hosting an open house in his honor on Sunday, March 3, 2013, at his home at 435 3rd<\/sup> Street SW, Jamestown, from 2:00 to 4:00PM.<\/p>\n
