(AP) \u2014 Authorities say a father and his adult son have been arrested after sheriff\u2019s deputies found drugs worth\u00a0 $1.1 million in their pickup truck during an interstate traffic stop in North Dakota.<\/p>\n<p>Morton County sheriff\u2019s officials say 53-year-old Robert Earl Smith from Vancouver, Washington and his 24-year-old son,\u00a0 Christopher Conkey from Grants Pass, Oregon, were stopped on Interstate 94 near Mandan on Sunday morning.<\/p>\n<p>The sheriff\u2019s office says the son told a deputy they were transporting fan gear to the Super Bowl in Minneapolis. The deputy thought they were acting suspiciously and asked to search the truck. The request was denied, so a police dog was brought to the scene and alerted authorities to possible drugs.<\/p>\n<p>Deputies found 210 pounds of raw marijuana, five pounds of THC wax\/shatter, and eight grams of methamphetamine. and $2,400 in cash and the two were arrested.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"p402_premium\">\n<div class=\"node-body\">\n<p>Conkey and Smith were transported to the Burleigh\/Morton County Detention Center, where they were listed as inmates Monday, Feb. 5.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>MANDAN, N.D.
