{"id":138534,"date":"2018-02-14T14:23:34","date_gmt":"2018-02-14T20:23:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=138534"},"modified":"2018-02-19T17:41:04","modified_gmt":"2018-02-19T23:41:04","slug":"city-council-approves-road-projects-list-to-submit","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=138534","title":{"rendered":"City approves road project list Exit 257 video"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Jamestown\u00a0 (CSi)\u00a0 The Jamestown City Council met in Special Session on Wednesday at 1:30-p.m.. at City Hall.\u00a0 All members were present.<\/p>\n<p>I-94 Exit 257 &#8211; Draft Decision Document:<\/p>\n<p>The City Council voted to approve the alternate plan to keep open I-94 Exit 257 open, and install traffic signals and perform bridge work on Highway 281 over I-94, and mill and overlay of the frontage road.<\/p>\n<p><center><br \/>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/player.vimeo.com\/video\/255811556?autoplay=1&amp;portrait=0\" width=\"450\" height=\"338\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/center>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The vote was unanimous. \u00a0 Watch Video here online and on CSi Channel 67.<\/p>\n<p>With the 2018 State Transportation Improvement Program State Transportation Improvement Project List.<\/p>\n<p>Mayor Andersen said the city receives $850,000 per year in federal funds, through the NDDOT,at an 80 federal 20 city, split in costs.<\/p>\n<p>She said the city currently has $4.3 million not spent in federal dollars.<\/p>\n<p>In 2019 the 17<sup>th<\/sup> Street Southwest project will not be included, instead be put into the city\u2019s mill and overlay project.<\/p>\n<p>In 2020 the projects of the bridges on 5<sup>th<\/sup> Street and 4<sup>th<\/sup> Avenue Northwest will be the responsibility of Stutsman County.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The priority discussed was for 2020 for \u00a0the 12<sup>th<\/sup> Avenue and 3<sup>rd<\/sup> Street Southeast railroad grade separation project, with the majority of the project in 2020.<\/p>\n<p>Council Member Gumke said he favors that project being number one on the priority list.<\/p>\n<p>Council Member Phillips also agreed.<\/p>\n<p>Mayor Andersen moved to list the 12<sup>th<\/sup> Avenue and 3<sup>rd<\/sup> Street project for as the priority for 2020, the 17<sup>th<\/sup> Avenue Southwest, I-94 overpass project to 2025, and eliminate other projects.<\/p>\n<p>The priority list needs to be submitted by the city.<\/p>\n<p>The Council voted 3-2 in favor of the priority, with Council Members Brubakken, and Buchanan voting in opposition.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>With bids for the Water Treatment Plant Roofing Project, the City Council approved the bid of Lindfoot\u00a0 in the amount of $195, 674.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting was shown live on CSi 67, followed by replays.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Jamestown\u00a0 (CSi)\u00a0 The Jamestown City Council met in Special Session on Wednesday at 1:30-p.m.. at City Hall.\u00a0 All members were present.
