{"id":140335,"date":"2018-03-08T10:05:26","date_gmt":"2018-03-08T16:05:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=140335"},"modified":"2018-03-13T22:43:45","modified_gmt":"2018-03-14T03:43:45","slug":"ice-shows-theme-magnificent-musicals-mar-16-17-18","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=140335","title":{"rendered":"JRFSC &#8220;Magnificent Musicals&#8221; Mar 16, 17, 18"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/JRFSC-flag.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-140340\" src=\"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/JRFSC-flag-300x202.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"202\" srcset=\"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/JRFSC-flag-300x202.jpg 300w, http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/JRFSC-flag-260x175.jpg 260w, http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/JRFSC-flag.jpg 445w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>Jamestown\u00a0 (CSi)\u00a0 With one more competition this weekend in Fergus Falls, the James River Figure Skaters have had another very successful season of competition skating.<\/p>\n<p>On Thursday\u2019s Wayne Byers Show on CSi Cable 2, Judy Jorgensen said, among the successes, the Club\u2019s three senior skaters all qualified for the Archie Vraa Artistic competition in Moorhead, Minnesota, as only the top two skaters in each group are chosen to compete.<\/p>\n<p>This season the Club attended\u00a0 five competitions.\u00a0 Over all the skaters won 135 metals this season, with 12 fourth place finishes, 23 third place, 33 second place, and 67 first place.<\/p>\n<p>Judy pointed out that competitive skaters test before a panel of judges in three competitive disciplines, include the categories of moves in the field (figure skating) free skate and dance.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Also on our show, Judy said this year\u2019s Ice Show\u2019s theme is \u201cMagnificent Musicals.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Show dates and times at John L. Wilson Arena are:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Friday March 16<sup>th<\/sup> at 7-p.m.<\/p>\n<p>Saturday March 17<sup>th<\/sup> 2-p.m., and 7-p.m.<\/p>\n<p>Sunday March 18<sup>th<\/sup> \u00a02-p.m.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Tickets are available in advance at $8 for adults, $6 for students, and two dollars more at the door.<\/p>\n<p>Elementary school students are being given tickets allowing free admission if accompanied by a paying adult.<\/p>\n<p>Judy added that this year\u2019s Ice Show will feature six alumni skaters, returning, and Jamestown High School Hockey players number on the program.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Judy will return to the show on March 14<sup>th<\/sup> joined by Coach Mark Vasarhelyi.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Jamestown\u00a0 (CSi)\u00a0 With one more competition this weekend in Fergus Falls, the James River Figure Skaters have had another very successful season of competition skating.
