\"\"Jamestown\u00a0 (CSi)\u00a0 Jamestown\u2019s newest health care clinic, the urgent care and primary care clinic opens on Monday March 19 at 7-a.m.<\/p>\n

\"\"From Salt Lake City President and CEO of Medallus Medical Dr. Rachot Vacharothone, said on Friday\u2019s Wayne Byers Show on CSi Cable 2, that the clinic is located at 723 First Avenue South, (formally Rent A Center), in Jamestown, next to the UPS Store,\u00a0 and will provide urgent care, primary care and occupational medicine services.<\/p>\n

Initially, the clinic is open Monday through Friday from 7-a.m., to 4-p.m.<\/p>\n

Starting April 13th<\/sup> the clinic will be open seven days a week from 7-a.m., to 7-p.m.<\/p>\n

Walk-ins are taken for urgent care, an appointment required for primary care.<\/p>\n

\"\"Health care providers will include: clinic nurse practitioner, Roxanne Johnson, family medicine and mental health.<\/p>\n

Staff includes Jody Tanner, family medicine, and urgent care, and Dr. Rachot Vacharothone, internal medicine, and urgent care.\u00a0 Dr. Rachot said more staff will be added, in the coming weeks.<\/p>\n

Urgent Care includes such areas as treating sore throats, fever, earache sinusitis and pneumonia, and acute injury including cuts, sprains, broken bones sports injuries, auto accident, X-rays, and in-house lab.\u00a0 A patient will, if necessary, be referred to Jamestown Regional Medical Center.<\/p>\n

Primary Care includes, physical exams, including \u00a0annual checkups, wellness, and sports physicals, along with treating chronic diseases, such as diabetes, hypertension, thyroid, asthma,\u00a0 arthritis, depression, and anxiety.<\/p>\n

Occupational Medicine includes, urine screening, pre-employment physicals, first aid care, work injury management, and biometric screening.<\/p>\n

\"\"Also on our show customer service representative Brian Christiansen said, those without insurance should not hesitate in come in for treatment.<\/p>\n

He added that there are a number of payment options, including billing insurance providers, and a membership plan, where patients can sign up for a one year membership, at a cost of $50 per month, with a $10 per visit co-pay.\u00a0 Otherwise the cost per visit is about $150.<\/p>\n

He said that the average wait to see a healthcare provider is somewhat shorter than the average clinic wait, depending on the volume of patients being seen on any given day.<\/p>\n

He pointed out that the average time spent with a patient is about 20 minutes, compared to 12 minutes in a standard clinic setting.<\/p>\n

The clinic was approved by the \u00a0Jamestown Public School Board\u2019s Health Insurance Committee which recommended the agreement with Medallus Medical in March of last year, siting the need for a near-site, clinic .<\/p>\n

Committee \u00a0member Robert Toso said the community has been also been asking for a similar clinic.<\/p>\n
