\"\"(Chamber)\u00a0 Members of the Jamestown Area Chamber of Commerce Ambassador Committee and the Young Professionals of Jamestown presented the Customer Service Award for May to Darlene DeWald, owner of Swurl n Kurl Salon of Jamestown, for her outstanding customer service.\u00a0 The chamber honors individuals who demonstrate a consistent commitment to delivering products or services that satisfy customers by exceeding their requirements or expectations.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Darlene\u2019s letters of nomination stated, \u201cDarlene is pleasant and fun to visit with.\u00a0 I don\u2019t know what I would do without the good monthly haircut I get from her.\u00a0 I know she must get tired from standing on her feet all those hours, but she is always kind and pleasant to me.\u00a0 She is thoughtful about seeing that her senior citizen customers can safely maneuver the steps outside, especially in the winter months.\u201d<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u201cAfter an emergency and a long hospital stay, Darlene found a date in her busy calendar to do my hair even after my being gone for several months.\u00a0 She welcomed me back with warmth and even made sure I got out to my car safely.\u00a0 I have personally witnessed her helping customers up her ramp in the winter when needed.\u00a0 Darlene goes the \u201cextra mile\u201d whenever her customers or community need her expertise!\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI am nominating Darlene for this award because of her commitment to her customers.\u00a0 She is flexible and such a friendly beautician.\u00a0 She makes a person feel welcome when they come into her shop!\u00a0 I have seen her with elderly customers and how she truly cares for them.\u00a0 She is always a professional and always smiling!\u201d<\/p>\n
