“Braysen started coming with me to shoot instead of going to day care,” said Shawn Sagert, Braysen’s father. “He’s just really loved shooting since that beginning.”<\/p>\n
The young archer finished at the NASP National Championship with a score of 279, qualifying for a place in this weekend’s world championships.<\/p>\n
“As a parent, I was a nervous wreck to be honest,” Shawn Sagert said. “I was more nervous than (Braysen) was, which was good.”<\/p>\n
Sagert said his strategy for scoring high at the world event is “just thinking about shooting, really.”<\/p>\n
“I might be a little nervous because I’ve never been at world championship. It might be a little harder to get focused, but I don’t know,” he said. “I just want to have fun.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
