\"\"(CSi)\u00a0 Jamestown will host the Annual State Convention of the State Horticulture Society, Aug 2,3,4 at UJ Reiland Fine Arts Center.<\/p>\n

On The Wayne Byers Show on CSi Cable 2, the current president, Laurie Podoll of Jamestown said, the convention follows the State President, as the annual convention is held annually rotating around the quadrants of North Dakota. \u00a0The society has been in existence for 95 years, with 60 members in the Jamestown area.<\/p>\n

She said the convention consists of workshops, yard tours, and a silent auction.<\/p>\n

Some of the various workshops include: Tomatoes 101, Ikabano flower arranging, bees and pollinators, growing garlic and more.<\/p>\n

Several speakers have been invited to attend.<\/p>\n

There will be a swap of horticulture books at the University of Jamestown.<\/p>\n

The convention is open to the public.<\/p>\n

The registration fee of $60 includes meals and snacks.<\/p>\n

Proceeds will go to \u00a0two student scholarships.<\/p>\n

The annual membership is $30.<\/p>\n

The convention opens Thursday night, August 2nd<\/sup> with a free tour of the National Buffalo Museum in Jamestown, followed by a garden tour at the Podoll\u2019s home, complete with refreshments.<\/p>\n
