Details are as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Jamestown Regional Airport \u2013 $1,000,000 \u2013<\/strong> The funds will be used to rehabilitate one of the airport\u2019s runways and taxiways, as well as to improve a runway safety area. <strong>This is in addition to<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hoeven.senate.gov\/news\/news-releases\/hoeven-announces-more-than-33-million-for-airports-in-mandan-and-jamestown\">funding Hoeven announced earlier this week<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Others receiving funding include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Barnes County Municipal Airport in Valley City \u2013 $800,000 \u2013<\/strong> The funds will be used to install a wildlife perimeter fence.<\/li>\n<li><\/li>\n<li><strong>Edgeley Municipal Airport Authority \u2013 $300,000 \u2013 <\/strong>The funds will be used to install a fuel pump facility, rotating beacon and approach path indicators as well as replace the airport\u2019s wind cone.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Minot International Airport \u2013 $1,850,000 \u2013<\/strong> The funds will be used to acquire new snow removal equipment, conduct an environmental assessment and rehabilitate the aircraft rescue fire fighting building.<\/li>\n<li><\/li>\n<li><strong>Pembina Municipal Airport \u2013 $943,000 \u2013<\/strong> The funds will be used to rehabilitate the airport\u2019s apron, access road and parking lot as well as to construct a perimeter fence.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Grand Forks International Airport \u2013 $750,000 \u2013<\/strong> The funds will be used to rehabilitate a taxiway and runway lighting system as well as to update the airport\u2019s master plan narrative report and airport layout plan for future development.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Rugby Municipal Airport Authority \u2013 $600,000 \u2013 <\/strong>The funds will be used to rehabilitate a runway, taxiway and apron as well as to update lighting systems.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Bowman Municipal Airport Authority \u2013 $483,994 \u2013 <\/strong>The funds will be used to create a turf taxiway so that aircraft do not have to back-taxi on the runway.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Langdon Municipal Airport Authority \u2013 $405,000 \u2013 <\/strong>The funds will be used to rehabilitate lighting systems, a rotating beacon and install a new wind cone and other lighting systems to make the airport more accessible.<\/li>\n<li><\/li>\n<li><strong>Kenmare Municipal Airport Authority \u2013 $275,400 \u2013 <\/strong>The funds will be used to improve the airport\u2019s access road.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Mandan Municipal Airport \u2013 $169,120 \u2013<\/strong> The funds will be used to install wildlife perimeter fencing. This is in addition to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hoeven.senate.gov\/news\/news-releases\/hoeven-announces-more-than-33-million-for-airports-in-mandan-and-jamestown\">funding Hoeven announced earlier this week<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Robert Odegaard Field in Kindred \u2013 $122,436 \u2013 <\/strong>The funds will be used to design drainage and a new wind cone and segmented circle.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Garrison Municipal Airport Authority \u2013 $120,000 \u2013 <\/strong>The funds will be used to fund the design of the replacement of the taxiway.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Golden Valley County Airport in Beach \u2013 $105,000 \u2013 <\/strong>The funds will be used to replace the airport\u2019s wind cone and segmented circle.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Adams County Airport in Hettinger \u2013 $100,000 \u2013 <\/strong>The funds will be used to design a replacement of the runway and taxiway.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0<strong>Rolla Municipal Airport Authority \u2013 $65,000 \u2013 <\/strong>The funds will be used to construct a 4,800 square foot hangar.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cToday\u2019s funds will help officials at airports around our state complete vital infrastructure projects,\u201d Hoeven said. \u201cBy investing in these airports, they can continue to provide valuable support to the local economies in these communities<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>WASHINGTON \u2013 Senator John Hoeven, a member of the Senate Transportation, Housing and Urban Development Appropriations Committee, today announced that the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) has awarded grants totaling nearly $8.1 million for airports in North Dakota.
