The opening of the Jamestown store is the 3rd location in North Dakota. The nearest locations are currently in Fargo and Bismarck.<\/p>\n
TJ Maxx will provide a much needed department store to the area\u2019s residents. Known as \u201cThe Buffalo City,\u201d Jamestown and the Buffalo Mall are located just off I-94, the main east-west highway corridor.<\/p>\n
The TJX Companies, Inc., is the leading off-price apparel and home fashions retailer in the U.S., and worldwide, is ranked 85 among Fortune 500 companies. It operates four major divisions: Marmaxx, HomeGoods, TJX Canada, and TJX International. As of February 3, 2018, TJX sales were $35.9 billion, and the company operated more than 4,000 stores in nine countries, across three continents.<\/p>\n
This new 20,000 sf store will provide men, women, and children\u2019s apparel, jewelry, luxury bath and body products, shoes, modern home furnishings, and specialty food and beverage items. TJ Maxx is anticipated to open fall 2018.
\nJoe Anthony, President and CEO of Zamias Services Inc, the leasing and management company of the mall, is highly optimistic on the chain\u2019s impact. \u201cThis continues our investment in the mall. The Dunham\u2019s opening last year was their first store in North Dakota. Their store filled a void in the area, added jobs, and overall, the community is thriving. We foresee the same with TJ Maxx.\u201d<\/p>\n
Buffalo Mall regular hours are Mon-Fri 10-8, Sat 10-6, and Sun 12-5.

Jamestown\u00a0 (CSi) The \u00a0public listing of building permits issued by the City of Jamestown, shows, a building permit, was issued this week for a $1.5 million remodeling project at the Buffalo Mall that will bring a T.J. Maxx retail outlet to Jamestown.<\/p>\n
Jamestown City Building Inspector Tom Blackmore says, the store will occupy, 20,000 square feet of retail space plus the east entrance to it, from the mall\u2019s parking lot.<\/p>\n
The space was formerly occupied by J.C. Penny, which left the space vacant leaving the mall and Jamestown in 2017.<\/p>\n
