Harvey DeBuck, 77, of Jamestown, ND, died at Essentia Health in Fargo.<\/span><\/p>\n

Harvey was born on January 13, 1936, in Marion, ND, the son of Camiel and Evelyn (Paulson) DeBuck.\u00a0 He grew up near Ypsilanti on the family farm and attended country school, graduating from Jamestown High School.\u00a0 Harvey and Patti Johnson were united in marriage on February 3, 1956 at the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Jamestown.\u00a0 They lived in Jamestown where Harvey worked for Melland\u2019s and the North Dakota State Hospital for a short time.\u00a0 He also farmed with his father near Ypsilanti and was active with the National Guard for nine years.\u00a0 The family moved to a farm near Ypsilanti, then to Montpelier where he and Patti owned and operated the Farmer\u2019s Bar, and later the DeBuck Grocery Store.\u00a0 Harvey also worked for Jamestown Sand & Gravel, then for Duratech for over 18 years.\u00a0 They moved to Jamestown where their home has been since.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n

Harvey was a member of the Eagles for 55 years and volunteered at the James River Senior Center.\u00a0 He enjoyed competing in demolition derbies, horses, watching NASCAR and the races at the Jamestown Speedway, and old western movies.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n

Harvey is survived by his wife, Patti DeBuck, Jamestown; daughter, Hollie (Paul) Emo, Jamestown; son, Jeffrey (Tami) DeBuck, Montpelier; son-in-law, Jim Beyer, Jamestown; grandchildren, Janessa Beyer, Kalsie Beyer, Arin Beyer, Shawn Wegenast, Kyle, DeBuck, Kiara DeBuck, and Jalyssa DeBuck; one great grandchildren, Tripp Nelson; three sisters, Marlis (Bill Richman) Headland, Tower City, ND, Gloria (Kenis) Schultz, Victorville, CA, and Evonne (Rodney) Tramel, Orange, CA.<\/span><\/p>\n

He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Beckie Beyer; grandson, Joshua DeBuck; sister, Marjorie; brother-in-law, Buddy Headland; and son-in-law, Clayton Wegenast.<\/span><\/p>\n


\nFuneral Service:<\/strong> 10:30 a.m., Friday, March 22, 2013 at St. John\u2019s Lutheran Church, Jamestown, ND with Rev. Terry Anderson officiating.<\/span><\/p>\n

Visitation:<\/strong> 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, March 21, 2013 at Williams-Lisko Funeral Chapel, Jamestown.<\/span><\/p>\n
