The school district&#8217;s levy increase would not be requested until October 2019. \u00a0In the interim, the school district would use dollars in the building fund until the bond sale.<\/p>\n<p>The bond issue passage would mean a 35.71-mill increase for the school district, or approximately $160.70 \u00a0annually per $100,000 of residential home value.<\/p>\n<p>A $100,000 commercial property would see an additional $178.56, and an average acre of agricultural land would have a tax impact of $1.31.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile the Jamestown City Council&#8217;s preliminary budget for 2019 contains a 24-mill increase for taxpayers or approximately $108 annually per $100,000 of residential home value, in order to have the proper amount of dollars in the reserve fund.<\/p>\n<p>Another city council budget committee will be held on August 15<sup>th<\/sup>, when the preliminary budget can be decreased, but not increased.<\/p>\n<p>The school project includes heating, ventilation and air conditioning for the middle school and elementary schools except for Washington, which would close upon completion of an addition to Louis L&#8217;Amour Elementary.
